USE OF YOUR INFORMATION
Credit reference agencys
In considering your application for credit Moneyway Ltd will search your record at Credit Reference Agencies. They will add details of this search and your application to your record and this will be seen by other organisations that make searches. Information held about you by the credit reference agencies may already be linked to records relating to other people with whom you have a financial association. In connection with your application you may be treated as financially linked with them and assessed with reference to any such associated records.
If you are a joint applicant or if you have told us of some other financial association with another person, you are declaring that you are entitled to:
- disclose information about your joint applicant and anyone else referred to by you
- authorise us to search, link or record information at credit reference agencies about you and anyone else referred to by you.
Moneyway will use a credit scoring system when assessing your application.
Moneyway will also add to your record with the credit reference agencies details of your agreement with them, the payments you make under it and any default or failure to keep to its terms and any change of address you fail to tell them about where a payment is overdue.
It is important that you provide accurate information. Moneyway will check your details with fraud prevention agencies, and if you give false or inaccurate information and they suspect fraud, they will record this.
These records will be shared with other organisations and used by Moneyway and them to:
- help make decisions about credit and credit related services such as insurance for you and members of your household
- trace debtors, recover debt, prevent money laundering and fraud, and to manage your accounts.
For these purposes Moneyway or they may make further searches. Although these searches will be added to your record, they will not be shared with others.
Moneyway, the credit reference agencies and fraud prevention agencies will also use your record for statistical analysis about credit and about insurance and fraud.
Fraud prevention agency records will also be shared with other organisations to help make decisions on motor, household, credit, life and other insurance proposals and insurance claims for you and members of your household.
Please telephone Moneyway on 0845 245 0000 if you want to have details of these credit reference and fraud prevention agencies from whom they obtain and to whom they pass information about you. You have a legal right to these details.

Any company in their group with which you have an agreement or which receives an application from you may use and update this centrally held information for the purposes of such agreement and application, to help establish your identity, to recover amounts owing and to prevent fraud.
