Woburn Sands
One of the most popular and best-known jumping spots around London. At Woburn theres mini DH runs and cross country sections as well as a few North Shore style pieces. The keen locals are always busy with their shovels (and more recently their saws and hammers) and one of the best things about Woburn is the variety. Whatever your skill level you’ll find a section to your taste and there’s always something bigger lurking to tempt you to step up a gear.
Access from the M1 is good, accessibility being one of Woburn’s main attractions. Leave the M1 at junction 13, follow the A507 into Aspley Guise and then Woburn Sands and hang a left on the A5130 towards Woburn. As the road leaves the village you’ll see the quarry entrance on your left and a wide area of grass next to the road and the woods opposite.
Trains run to Woburn Sands station from London Euston and Milton Keynes via Bletchley and from Bedford; see www.nationalrail.co.uk or ring 08457 484950 for more info.
